Hive 4- May Block

Andrea here! I am posting for the first time in the Stash Bee. This is my first month being a part of Hive 4 and I couldn't be more excited!

When I read that Barb wanted us to make HST blocks I had to laugh because that's what I have been working on a lot lately. I got into Victoria Findlay Wolfe's book 15 Minutes of Play a few months ago and turned most of my scraps into useable fabric. Then, that got turned into a huge pile of HST's.

Some are pictured here:

For Barb's block, I decided on this flying geese-ish pattern.

This was an easy block to do and fun to create!

To answer this month's question, I definitely make quilts to be used. Often, I give them away as gifts (and I hope they get used and not stuck in a drawer...) Right now I have a quilt that I finished on my couch and two on the floor that my baby rolls around on. Oh, and one in the trunk of my car that we take to the park!

See you next month!

Andrea - sounds like you hit the jackpot with this month's block! I love your flying geese, soon winging their way into my quilt. Thank you!
