I really love this technique. Yes, getting the folds right is a bit challenging, but after the first one, I got the hang of it.
Hope you like the fabrics.
I did try to baste with the machine, but I don't have a walking foot on my Bernina and everything was pulled out of shape. So I basted by hand instead. Hope that's okay. Was quick and easy.
Think, I'll do something like this for my next 'travel project'! My current one is a Hawaiian applique.
I know, I'm always so early with my blocks. But, I wanted to get it to the Post Office tomorrow, as I'm going for a short holiday next week, and the post just takes that bit longer to the States from here.
(BTW: the envelope only weights 70 g, not excessive at all!)
