Hive #9 February Block For Meghan

Bear Fish?  Fish Claws?  What a great way to make an awesome traditional black modern!  I love Meghan's colors and was thrilled I could use my Batik stash.  These are the same colors I used in my Stash Bee quilt last year. Perfect!   I think your quilt will be amazing and I can't wait to see it.
Meghan's question is "which quilt that you made holds the most meaning to you?"  I would have to say my "Turtle Trails" quilt that I made for my son Casey.  I started it when I was brand new to quilting and it was way over my head!  I kept going, with the encouragement from my son, and the skills I learned along the way.  It took me 2 1/2 yrs and was my first FMQ attempt also.  He loves it!
