Sunni's Ruffle Tree

Hi ladies!  I want to warn you that I do not own a camera so I have to take all my pictures from my cell phone.  I love my blackberry but the camera just stinks.  Also, this is my very first applique block.  So with that in mind here's a look at what I've come up with for Sunni!

I thought about it for a while and ok'd it with Sunni to make the foliage out of ruffles!  I think its kinda cute!

I love it! I REALLY love it. The trunk is perfect (I need that fabric) and the ruffles are going to fray up so pretty on the edges.
Thank you!

This is lovely! I might pinch the idea for a cushion for Madams bedroom if you don't mind?

That turned out SO cute!!! And TOTALLY inspired me for my 2nd block for her! I knew I wanted to do a 2nd but wasn't sure what (1st is in progress lol), and this totally inspired me! Great job!

The fabric is from the Aviary 2 line by Joel Dewberry. I love it and only have a tiny bit left so I'm also looking for more. I don't mind if anyone wants to use the idea for future projects. I love the texture the ruffles made and they should fray nicely to make a chenielle (spelling?) look eventually.
