Hive 1 - Swimming Around

These blocks for Jacki are quick and fun.  In looking through my stash, I realized I'm seriously hurting for orange.  Somehow I did manage to find enough to make these two happy fish!

Hive 8 Circle of Friends Block

I put this in the mail today. I hope you like it. It came together easily

May Hive 5 Block for Erin

Erin must be a very good planner, I wouldn't think of making this block until probably November at the earliest. I love it myself and it is now on my hope to do list some day! Erin, I just couldn't resist giving you a little fussy cut Snoopy and Woodstock.  I hope it is okay, just look at is as a beagle and his feathered friend! :) I hope you like it! I can't wait to see your quilt pieced!! Happy Spring all!!

Hive 5 May Block

Greetings! I'm new to Hive 5, but so excited to be here. Not sure if the Hives usually have a round on introductions, but here it goes. I'm an environmental attorney living in Pontotoc, Mississippi. It's a tiny town not too far from Memphis. I direct a research program at the University of Mississippi School of Law and love spending my off time quilting and hanging out with my husband. Here's my block for Erin.
I'll get it in the mail tomorrow. It was fun to celebrate the season a little early. Looking forward to next month and getting to know everyone a little better! Stephanie

May Hive 8 Block

Hello my fellow Hive mates!
Here is my Hive 8 Circle of friends block.  I had a bit of a challenge in picking my fabrics but was glad to use some from scraps and stash and it all came together nicely!  Great instructions and it finished at the right size.  Just love it when all the pieces come together and then magic,  a Circle of Friends!

Enjoy!

Hive 8 May Block

"I loved digging through my most treasured scraps to include in this block. It kind of reminds me of one f those old view master cartridges. I hope to mail it today, if not (I have a three year old, so going to the P.O. Isn't always a simple task, lol) then Monday.

Hive 3 - May Block for Gina

Hi everyone, Shauna here. I really liked the block Gina designed, and I can't wait to see the completed top. I got my block in the mail yesterday, so hopefully she will be receiving it soon. I made mine with no two HST triangles alike, so I had extra pieces and I threw those in the package as well.

I love the look of scrappy quilts, but struggle making them, because it kicks my brain into overload. But it was fun doing only one block, plus I got to use lots of fun bright fabrics. I hope she likes it.

May block for Rose!

Hi everyone!

I'm writing this as I travel along the Elbe to Prague, Czech Republic.  My family and I have been in Europe for a week and will be here for another as a graduation present for my brother and sister (lucky me I got to tag along!).  Rose has received my blocks (I sent them off on the 2nd) but I haven't had a chance to post until now.

What a beautiful block!  I'm excited to see the finished project!

May blocks for Rose - Hive 4

Since Rose is making four quilts for her brothers and a friend, I made two blocks, so hope that helps.

Hive 6 May block

Carolyn and I were in the same hive last year, and so I made this block for her last year too. Then, I didn't read her cutting directions right, and unsurprisingly had a great deal of trouble. This year I paid better attention and it was a breeze! I like my fabrics better this year, too.
