2015 Hive 8 Finish.

This is Audrey from Hot Pink Quilts. I am FINALLY able to show you my quilt finish using blocks that last year's Hive 8 so generously made me. Isn't she pretty? I'm thrilled to be gifting this to my dad, even if it's taken me over a year to get 'er done!

Thanks 2015 Hive 8 for the wonderful blocks!

This one is perfect for a dad...very manly colors and it looks large enough for a guy to curl up in. I love the variety of indigo fabrics set against the whites. I started stashing (hoarding) some indigo a few years ago and never finished collecting enough to make a quilt. This one has me rethinking my tendency to procrastinate.

Lovely! I cut into some of the new Cotton and Steel indigo yesterday and made modern disappearing nine patch blocks, which look AWFUL! Stars seem like a better plan! What is the pattern?

Thanks everyone! The block was based on a tutorial by Faith of Fresh Lemons Quilts called the Glorious Autumn Star block. It was a really fun block to put together!
