This month Andrea had us make a Modern Pinwheel block. I loved the way it turned out! Not much wiggle room when trimming to the 11 inches. But, this will make all the blocks uniform and should go together easy when putting together. I have already thought about making a quilt using this block which would showcase my new Alison Glass fat quarters I just recently received. Hope you like them and can't wait to see your quilt put together.
This month has had such great fun and quick blocks that I have not been able to resist Hive Crashing quite a few. First is Hive 1 for Tori. So colorful and easy, can't wait to see your king size quilt in these rich colors. Hope you like this.
Hive 3 for Shauna was next. Love the color choices, as purple is my favorite color and grey looks great with everything. Love the way the "X" really jumps out at you. Enjoy.
Hive 5 for Lyssa turned out to be my favorite block. I have already decided I am making a quilt with this block using my Vintage Kitchen fat quarter bundle by Riley Blake, can't wait until I can get started. I love your color picks. Hope to see your finished quilt soon.
Hive 6 for Helen was one of two Plus blocks this month but made using different techniques. So great to get to try different ways. Loved how the red contrasted so nicely with the low volume background. Will be on its way soon. Enjoy.
And finally Hive 8 for Liz, the other Plus block. Love black and white quilts, hope to see your finish quilt. Loved picking out the fabric and how it came out. Hope you like it.
Well it is still early in the month maybe I will be able to crash another hive, it has been fun. Love the first of the month and seeing everyone's new block and tutorial.
