This was an excellent scrappy block! I already had several 2.5" squares cut out from a recent project, and then I dug through my other scrap bins for the rest. Leftover pieces from the single jelly roll that I've ever purchased showed up often too.

Hive 7 for Laura
I was happy to start off the new year with a bright, cheerful block that combined by favourite things--text fabric and blue scraps! It's a good antidote to the endless snow. It's fun to see what everyone else has made too.

Crashing Hive 8 - Scrappy Kisses and Crosses
It was an adventure finding bright scraps for Abigail's Kisses and Crosses January block.
Thanks Abigail for picking such a fun block.

Hive 6 January Block for Emily
Ta-da! My first (intentionally) wonky and/or improve block! Thank you for stretching my horizons - it's one of my main 2017 quilty goals.
This pic isn't really very good. The background on the purple is a cloudy cream with tiny blue flecks from the Primitive Gathering Snowmen collection; can't even see them in this photo. The neon magenta tree is on light gray with white dots. Evidently I have winter on my brain as well as on my yard. ;-)
There's a full personal post about them on my blog, which you can trace back by clicking my name in purple below (I think).
These blocks are going in the USPS tomorrow!
Happy New Year, everyone!

Hive 3 block for Tracy
Tracy gave us this fun little group of Bear Paw components for her to sew up into scrappy blocks. It's interesting at first they all seemed to be mostly blue but they've ended on the pink range. Here are mine.
This quilt is going to be so pretty.

Tanyia's Hive 9 Block for January
Hi Tanyia! You may have gathered from my questions, this is my first time participating in this bee and my first time posting to a blog!! Posting to the blog was tougher than making the block!
I've had it finished for a few days and I hope to get it in the mail to you over the weekend. I can't wait to see the other blocks and then your quilt put together!
I hope you like it---Liz Horgan
Hive 1 Block for Diana
Hello there,
I'm Greta B and it was so fun to start 2017 learning the disappearing 4 patch...I love making a big block and cutting it up and rearranging, so I can't wait to use this one again. Thanks for this one, Diana!

Hive 7 January Block
Well, this was a fun little block. I am in favor of any block that uses up my rapidly expanding collection of scraps!!! Laura asked for one paint chip block, the color of our choice. I chose Navy. No reason - just lots of navy scraps lately!!! I hope you like it, Laura!
I'm looking forward to seeing the finished quilt - I looked at the one that was your inspiration and it is lovely!

Hive 1 January Block
Hi, I’m Sue.
Being my first year in Stash Bee, or any bee for that matter, I was filled with all sorts of nervousness and trepidations as to what this month’s task would be. Luckily Diana chose a simple block and a simple colour scheme. Thanks Diana and I hope you like it!

January Heart Block for Cyndi - Hive 2
Hi, I'm Monica and this is my first Bee. I'm so excited to participate. Especially when the first block was such an easy one to make.
I enjoyed making this heart block for Cyndi. I got an idea for another block. So don't be surprised if you get two blocks from me. For now here is the one completed.
