I made Laura's blocks for this month today. Talk about comfort zone - this was waaaaay out of it! But I am proud to say they are done, and I hope you like them. They will go out in Monday or Tuesday's mail.

November block for Hive# 4 Jessica
Here you go Jessica!
What a fabulous block!
Great looking and fun to make!
The tutorial was very clear!
Enjoy!
Hive #1 November block!
I can't believe this block took me all day! It wasn't that hard... maybe I was just going slow from burnout from jamming on the quilt I had to get done and in the mail by yesterday? :-D
You can thank Jamie Lee for at least half the prints in this one, she sent me a quilty care package when she found out my stash was running low on certain colors. What a sweetie!
Hope ya like it!

November Block for Jessica
I had great fun doing these blocks, pressing all those seams was challenging but well worthwhile and of course spray starching helps no end. Loved the colour range, hope the ones I chose fit in with yours. Pauline

Hive 1 November Colby's block
This is my finished block Cloby, however I have not sewed the top and bottom halves together yet. As you can see the colors are not in the correct places on the top half of the block :(
So if you don't mind an odd man out block,I will sew this up and get it out to you. If you want me to try and fix it so that it is correct please let me know. For some reason my poor brain just could not get it in gear until I got to the bottom half! Anyway let me know what you prefer.

Hive 2, November blocks
Some days you just have to accept, a cat will do what she wishes, and not what you want!
'I am looking the other way' says this lady!
And me- well, this is the best I can do!
I hope you do not mind this severe looking mortal cluttering your quilt!
I had originally planned to do something a bit more interesting, but Mum's machine wouldn't cope with more interesting, so I have gone for simple, in the interest of getting this done on time.
Another couple of weeks to get my machine back!

October Hive #1
I'm just now able to post photos again (new laptop, yay!!) but although the photos are late, the blocks have been sent off to their home and should be there already. The green in the second photo looks much less vibrant than it does in real life, I'm afraid...it was a rainy picture taking day :/ ~Lisa~
Hive 4 November blocks
Hi Jess, hope these blocks are ok. I am the bee angel for this month so there are 4 of them. They were fun to make. I will pop them in the post this week. Caroline

Hive 2:: Portraits
I decided to take a different approach to this one. I decided I'd rather draw directly on the fabric and see what I come up with. It was a lot of fun and way more fulfilling than applique. It's all washed and won't run when you want to wash your quilt.
I decided to do portraits of my gerbils, Ahma and Evey. They were some really fun pets and kept me happy while I was tearing my hair out in college. That's me on the right uneasily smiling as I see one of my creepy housemates coming over.
Have fun with these squares!

November block
I really enjoyed making this block..... and sorting out all the colours (made me realise there are some colours which are limited in my stash - must do something about that!).
Despite my very best measuring efforts the black, the points just did not meet up in the middle - sorry!
