February Hive 3 Block tutorial

Hello!
I'm excited to be in the Stash Bee Hive, this is my first year here.  I have long admired the blocks and quilts from all of the hives.  I have been quilting forever and love designing quilts as well as making them.  My website is www.yellowcatquiltdesigns.com. And at Instagram you can find me @punkydoodle53.
Retirement is my current job, and it is the best job ever!  Right now we are wintering in South Texas, so that is the reason for the Texas address.  Home is Lees Summit, Mo, and we will return there the first of April.
It was hard to pick a block, but after making this one this afternoon, I decided to use it.  Not sure what the name is?  Does anyone know?
This block is 12 1/2" and pretty quick and easy to make. This block came from a 2016 Stash Bee Hive.

Colors:  I would like cream or off white for the corner triangles. If you have any "word" print fabric, I would love it!  Otherwise, just use a cream or off white white solid or print.
Black, navy, or dark grey for the cross edges. Please use the same for all 4 pieces.
There are two main colors.  I would like these to be coral, blue, or grey prints.

You will need to cut:
Cream or off white (8) 3 1/2" squares.

Navy, black or dark grey (4) 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" rectangles for the cross edges.

Choose one of the main colors, coral, blue, or grey prints or solids for the main inner cross. Please make these all the same.  1) 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangles and 2) 2 1/2" squares.

For the alternate main color, cut 4) 5 1/2" squares.

Sewing the Block
Draw a diagonal line on the eight 3 1/2" cream or off white squares.
Place 2 of the square on the opposite corners of the 5 1/2" squares.
Sew along the diagonal lines, press, and trim excess fabric.

Sew a 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" black, navy or grey rectangle to the ends of the main color 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangle.  Sew a 2 1/2" main color square to each of the 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" black, navy or grey rectangles. Refer to photo.

Sew diagonal blocks to each center as shown in photo.

Then sew top and bottom strips to center horizontal strips.

Block will finish 12 1/2".
This link will take you to a completed Stash Bee Hive quilt from September 2016....I love it!
