Hive 2 July Blocks for Sara
I finally made it back into the sewing room just in time to make this month's blocks for Sara.
I had a lot of fun making these. I hope you were serious about liking random and ugly because I randomly pulled a few scraps out of my bins and just sewed them together for you. The only ones I pulled intentionally were the Star Wars and the Halloween print.
I had planned on making 4 of these but once I had 4 I still had enough scraps out to make a few more so I made 6 so you'd have a full hexagon.
These will be in the mail soon with Rebeckah's blocks.
....And if any of you need a little cuteness today here's a picture I took of my little girl yesterday on her 1 month birthday. Happy Birthday Penny!

HIve 4 July Block for Diane
Hello from Yellowstone National Park, again! I made these in my trailer on a recent day off, and they'll go in the mail tomorrow or the next day.
August Hive 2 Block
Hello All!
I'm Adrienne and I am your Queen Bee for August. I am the last queen for this round of Hive 2, hard to believe that the year is gone already! Since we are in the summer months, I thought I would post my block early so that people have lots of time to get that sewing done. I am all about relaxing in the summer :)
I am a member of Hive 3 as well, so you can find out a little more about me at this post or I recently did a "Let's Get Acquainted" Post on my blog, Chezzetcook Modern Quilts, if you would like to hop over there.
On to the block request! I would like a Churn Dash. This block has always been a favorite of mine, and I have been seeing them a lot lately out and about. This tutorial at Janice Elaine Sews is great and makes a 12.5" block. For colors I was inspired by this combo over at Pile o Fabric, a solid churn dash with the background being some low volume prints. For the solid colors, please stay with blues, light or dark does not matter, for background, whatever colors you want, just low volume prints.
Thanks everyone! I am looking forward to seeing your blocks.
Happy Summer!

July Bird Blocks for Sandra
Two are from me and the other two are Angel Blocks.
Enjoy! (I didn't trim them to height so that you could make them as long as you like.)

Hive #1 July blocks done!
Oh my gosh these were so much fun to make! I loved it! I hope you like them. The lighter fabric is actually a very pale yellow but in the pic it looks almost white. I made my two, the angel two and two extra just cuz I was having so much fun and loving them so much!! I did not trim to length, I figured you could decide more sky? or more leg? Maybe I wasn't supposed to trim them anyway I guess I should go back and look at the original post again? :D

July Bird Blocks for Sandra
I think these turned out really well. I did learn a couple of things I'd change if I ever make these again, but I'm pleased with them. Hope you are, too, Sandra. I'll get these in the mail this afternoon.

A finish...
Ladies of Hive 1 I wanted to show off all our work... I asked you each to make signature blocks for a "guest book" quilt. Well, the wedding was on April 20th and almost everyone signed a block! I have some left over blocks and I'm debating cutting those in half and using them as a kind of border or using them to make my cousin a quilt since he's getting married in September too. I'm planning to get this quilted by a pro and then to hang it above the couch in our living room. Thank you all for your part in making my wedding perfect!!!
June Hive 4 [catching up]
I'm really sorry I'm so late, but finally here are your blocks - they aren't trimmed, I just cropped the photos!
Hope you like them!
