Hive 2 January Block

This is my first Stash Bee.
I picked red for this block because I seem to have a lot of red, and hardly any pink or purple. 
To answer the hive question, I love new technologies, so I would move into the future, but not too far, probably about 100 years.  Hopefully we will have a clean environment!  I believe one of the reasons I quilt is because working with fabric grounds me in my otherwise high-tech world.
