I received these two blocks from Greta.  What fun to open my first package as a November Queen Bee.  Thank you so much for the double.  I love the colors.  Glad you liked making this block.

Kristin chose the same block I did, so I've made lots of these, they are one of my favs. I love her color choices. These will go out in the mail on Saturday.

Hive 7 November block

As we wind down the blocks for 2017 it was nice to end on an easy block that has a great impact.

I'll be sitting next year out but this has always been a great bee to be part of for the last 3 years.

I am seriously sad that STASH BEE 2017 is 

drawing to a close.

It has been a year of FABULOUS quilt blocks!

For our last month, Frieda chose this simple plus block for Hive #7.

It was super easy...so I made two.

I've seen stunning quilts made from this pattern and I'm looking forward to seeing what Frieda will do with all the beautiful blocks she will be receiving.  

I will be back in 2018 and looking forward

to another fabulous Stash Bee year!

Hive 2 November Geese for Heather

I enjoy paper piecing.  I love flying geese.  And so Heather's block really speaks to me. Thanks for a great block for this year's wrap-up.

Hive 2 November Block

The requested block this month is beautiful, Circle of Geese, an intricate paper pieced block.  However, as I have little or no experience of paper piecing I followed the given link to an alternative block.

Now this block I love, Zig Zag Path, which is already on the way.   It's a perfect bee block in my opinion and from the given illustration a finished quilt made from this block would appear to have a quilting illusion too.  If you haven't seen it before I would definitely check it out.

Hive 2 - October Block for Kathy

Kathy wanted us to make the block we choose for our month in her colors.  So I made the Alpine Block from Blossom Heart Quilts in purple.

Judy,  I made your lovely trees this morning before starting a 3.5 hour phone marathon of calls.  I would have rather been making a whole quilt of trees instead.  I certainly hope my fabric choices work for you, if not, let me know and I'll make a couple more.  Paula
