What a cute block, and so easy to do. Perfect choice for a cheerful chairity quilt.

August Hive 4 Block for Carmit

This was a super easy, quick block to make. I made two since I had the extra HST blocks.

And Carmit requested some 2 1/2 inch squares for another project she is working on so I am sending some Texas and US themed squares along with some others.

The instructions were super clear for the block!  Thank you so much.  I only failed in cutting fabric to the correct dimensions about half the time. :p  I blame the Olympics.

Hive 9 August Block for Alison

This block came at the perfect time!  I had just resorted all my scraps and had the perfect pile for these bright fun prints, so it was easy to grab what I needed and get to sewing.  This block was a lot of sewing, but it was certainly fun to see it all come together.

Block for Lee

It was fun making your block Lee. I already mailed it this past Friday so you should receive it any day. I used the Kona dk grey (I love that color so I had plenty).

Blocks for Jennifer -- Hive 6

Jennifer had some really quick paper piecing blocks for us this month that she designed, and they happened to use the same colors as my other bee hive so that made the fabric selecting easier as well. I put together 8 pieces for her and left them in quadrants so they would be easily mixed in with the other other blocks being made.

Hive 1: August 2016

At the beginning of each month I anxiously await reading the Stash Bee blog to see 

what awesome block I was to create for this month's Queen Bee.

Imagine my surprise when I see this Tic Tac Toe pattern from Stephanie!

I was planning on choosing this for my block next month: September!

Stephanie wanted this super easy and super fun block done in medium blues and bright yellows.

This is going to be a fabulous quilt! I cannot wait to see how this one comes together!

Now, I'm off to come up with a different idea for my quilt block next month.  I'll save the Tic Tac Toe block for next year {maybe}, thanks to Stephanie!  hee hee hee!

Sandy's block HIve 3 August

OK Sndy I've got your blocks done. Yes I've said blocks. I had so much fun pulling fabrics and making these I've got four to send to you. If my hubby hadn't turned up to stop me I'd have probably made the quilt for you.

You asked for summer fabrics and I took the flowers from my garden as inspiration (any excuse to show the garden)

 Anyway here are your blocks. The pic was taken last night so I'm afraid the pic doesn't show the true colours. They are even brighter in real life.
