Hive #1, Pineapple blocks for Samantha finished

     I finished my Pineapple blocks for Samantha - they weren't hard, but I did have to follow the tutorial step by step and refer back with each new step.  I made 2 blocks, each using basically the same fabrics, but in different orders so that they aren't indentical.  I also put together a signature block.  I'll mail them out this week...hope you like them!!

PS...sorry for the crummy photo.  I really need to buy an upload cable for my camera.  I hate when they make special cords that only 'they' use (Fuji, iPad, grrr).  And on top of that, it's almost always dark when I get a chance to photograph stuff.  Might buy a few 'daylight' light bulbs to try to fix this problem.

Hive # 1 ~ Pineapple blocks ~

Here are my Pineapple blocks & also Siggy block for you
Samantha.  I hope you like them!
My photo doesn't show the detail of the fabric very well,
but what can you expect when taking pictures in crappy
light?

The one on the left is a tad small,but as per your earlier
post I believe you can make it work.  If not,do with it what
you will ;)

Making this block was a first for me,the funny thing is that
the second block is the one that turned out a tad small.
Go figure!

I will try to get these out to you before the weekend.
If not then they will go out the beginning of next week for
sure :)

Whenever I see the name 'The Twisted Sister' I can't help but think of Dee Snyder!  Sorry, I am likely showing my age.

This is the step you are on where there are "little holes".  There aren't really once you flip the block and trim it.

help needed on pineapple block

I am needing help on this pineapple block. I have measured and remeasured but for some reason I can not get my corners right... there are little holes on each side where the stitching doesnt cover like it should. This is my third time trying this block... I must be pinapple block challenged!! I think I may have to give up this block, I dont know what else to do :(

I feel really bad... especially when I see all the completed blocks. I dont want to loose my space in the bee so any help would be great! :)

Hive #1: a pineapple affair

This was a nice little block to make: a design new to me, and I could pull the fabrics easily.

Except I probably should have paid more attention near the end...first attempt:

...yes, next time know when to stop adding black.

But easy to fix! Though I'm not sure why some of the corners are so filled :S

and off to Samantha they will go!

hive #2 blocks for mika

I finished these babies a week ago, and I bet the blocks are already in Miki's hands. I'm sending them uncropped because I don't have a cutting mat big enough to cut accurately. I take that back, I have a really small cutting mat, and a huge cutting mat (for setting in a table), that's hard to get out. On the plus side, you can crop what you like best. Have fun!

Hive #2 February Block

Two more blocks for Miki.  The curved seam was so fun!  I'm putting that on my to-do list!!  And of course a cute little siggy block.  I hope you like them.
