Gayle's Flying Geese October Block

Gayle's Flying Geese October Block. Super sweet and and lovely to spend some time combining solids with patterns. Try as I might I always struggle with Flying Geese. I slow right down, I work the quarter inch, I'm careful when I cut but they never really square up perfectly. Is it just me? Here they are;
