August Hive 9 Block for Heather from Yvonne

I really enjoyed making this wonky pinwheel block, Heather! Chain piecing was definitely the key to working through this block for me, and sewing the rows together with a scant 1/4" seam allowance made it all come together pretty nicely.

It's always a bit of an adventure digging through my scrap bin, which is where I got all the colored strips for the block. I think once this year's Stash Bee is over it might be time to empty the bin and make a really scrappy quilt.
