I love a pretty churn dash block! This was a lot of fun to make. I wanted to use that large print blue fabric but it would have lost it's impact in the small churn piece so I used that one as the negative block with the tone on tone white in the middle and I think it is striking! I hope you like it!
Where do I sew? I'm like Jennifer - I like to be in the center of things. In Houston, we don't have basements - they would be indoor swimming pools - but I have a lovely game room upstairs. My kids are all gone and nobody uses the pool table or any of it anymore so my husband would love to sell it, convert the whole thing into a sewing space for me BUT right now I have taken over the dining room! I have a beautiful dining table that I sew on and stacks and stacks of fabric and supplies. My interfacing bolts are tucked behind my drapes....it is the first thing people see when they come over-it's my sweat shop! But it is right in the thick of things and I like it that way! I cut on the island in the kitchen which is only 10 steps from my chair in the dining room. I am just not sure if I want to move upstairs.....I could get a long arm in there if I did, it's a huge room. But I like my sweat shop! Besides, the weather in Houston allows us to eat holiday meals on the patio......
Debbie, thanks so much the blocks look great!
