I totally forgot to post a picture of my August blocks for Kelli!! Sorry. I'm sure glad school has started so we can get back to some sort of schedule. Who's with me? I'm tired of being so busy.
This was a fun block. I already had the Easy Dresden ruler. I did notice though that the ruler was a little bigger than Kelli's template so I think it had fewer blades than her version. I look forward to seeing the end quilt :)
I bought a ruler too, and "scrapped" it after realizing that it, too, made bigger blades--like yours. It makes a 20-blade block, instead of 24. I tried then to re-sew the seams narrower, and it didn't work, so I went back to the template. I like your blocks--nice greens!--I should've just gone ahead and made the 20 blade blocks. Live & learn.
Oh, I love, love, love these blocks! So many variation possibilities and design possibilities (other than it's intended) with this ruler. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI love the color. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteThey remind me of kiwi. Yum!
