March block for Hive #2

I finally finished my tree block for Tara.  I was waiting to see other tree blocks before I started my own but I haven't seen many.  I think we all waited til the last minute :)


I'm happy with how it turned out.  I hope you like it too, Tara.  I couldn't decide what to make.  I sketched this up and turned it into a paper piece pattern. (I LOVE paper piecing!!) I think the original post said modern with bright colors so I chose a rainbow color scheme.  The sun was improv pieced which I have never done before.  I liked it!  This was a lot of fun!

If only the sun would come out here at home!

    this is the cutest tree! i cannot tell you how much i enjoy all the tree blocks. they bring a bit of sunshine to my inspiratio folder.
